Many licensees are confused by NCCAOM’s recertification process. It isn’t as complicated as it seems. They are allowing you to obtain PDA’s with coursework in different areas and some that are considered practice enhancement. It does have limitations. Please see their handbook for more information on these limitations.
*IMPORTANT NOTE: All 60 PDA points may be earned in the category of Core Competence, Knowledge and Skills. CPR is a stand-alone category. A maximum of 4 points are awarded for verification of CPR. Diplomates must document verification of a CPR course taken during their recertification cycle.
