Stomach-36 / Zu San Li is quite possibly the most used acupuncture point in our tool box. The translation of Zu San Li from Chinese is– leg 3 miles. The indications and claimed benefits for use of this point are numerous.
The point treats deficiencies of both qi and blood. Modern studies of acupuncture on ST 36 have demonstrated that stimulation of the point produces measurable changes in the areas of the brain related to gastric function.
